OnePlus is known for its flagship performance on its devices. Now they have started releasing OxygenOS 14 based on the Android 14 update for their latest smartphones. The company is fulfilling its promises to give the Android version to some older smartphones as well.
The company’s recent launches include the innovative OnePlus Open foldable phone and the OnePlus 11 flagship, launched earlier this year. These devices, along with others, have been upgraded to the OxygenOS 14 version.
The company also recently introduced a foldable smartphone, “OnePlus Open” to the market. It’s currently running on OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13. The company is planning to give an Android 14 update in the coming days because it has three screens and the OS should be optimized before giving an update to every user of the Open foldable phone.
Update (December 25, 2023): OnePlus has given the first open beta OxygenOS 14 update to its foldable smartphone and its based on Android 14.

OnePlus earlier gave a beta update to these devices before releasing the stable update. Every user must have a better software experience with the new updates. Still, these updates have some problems, such as less battery backup, small bugs, and stuttering issues. But these problems are not with all the devices it depends on the user usage.
OxygenOS 14 Features
The new OxygenOS 14 brings several exciting features such as an upgraded Aquamorphic Design and the Pantanal Service for enhanced fluid cloud interaction. The update is not just about aesthetics; it includes practical functionalities like cross-device support, which helps users monitor the connection status of their various devices seamlessly.
Additional features include Aquamorphic-themed ringtones, new File Dock for easier content transfer, and Content Extraction for text and image recognition. The Smart Cutout feature is a new addition that allows users to separate objects in photos for easier copying and sharing.
In terms of system enhancements, the update boosts overall stability and brings a novel carbon tracking Always-On Display, encouraging users to take more steps for reduced carbon emissions.
The OnePlus 12 which debuted in China this week, comes with Android 14-based software pre-installed. Its global launch is scheduled for January, likely offering OxygenOS 14 to international buyers right from the start.
