OnePlus Brings Extract Content Feature in OxygenOS 14 Beta

Two days back OnePlus company released OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 4 update for OnePlus 11 users. This beta update brought many new features but there is a noticeable feature called “Extract content which allows users to capture the text and interact with it.

Extract content Feature on OnePlus 11

The Extract content feature works with screenshots taken on the OnePlus 11 for now. So here is an example, suppose we are using the Amazon app and take a screenshot.

Then we get screenshot preview, extract content, scroll, and share. So tapping on the ‘Extract content’ feature will analyze the captured screenshot and then we can long press on any text present on that particular screenshot. After that, you get two options called ‘Save to File Dock’ and ‘Save to Notes.’

Extract Content Options

This feature is just not limited to the text it can copy the image present in the screenshot as well. After holding on image, you will get two options such as ‘Save to File Dock’ and ‘Save to Photos.’ So it’s a helpful feature that can be easily used by a user.

Extract content works with images

The utility of this feature expands to practical tasks such as extracting phone numbers from images. If the user takes screenshots of a paper containing phone number, the ‘Extract Content’ option allows them to call the number directly without typing those digits manually. It will also show you multiple options that are call and send message. However, the feature does not work with email address, as it does not offer the option to compose an email directly from an extracted address.

This implementation of this feature is very cool and impressive by OnePlus. We hope that this feature comes in the stable version of OxygenOS 14.
