The latest OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 4 for OnePlus 11 brings exciting new features for users. Among these, the File Dock and Recent files are features that are going to help people in their daily lives.
OnePlus previously removed the File Dock and Recent Files features in OnePlus 11 OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 and they are back in Open Beta 3. The company has been experimenting with adding new features and options to the beta builds with improvements. So we might see more features in upcoming builds before the stable release. Currently, both features are present in the current build of OxygenOS 14 beta.
File Dock Feature in OxygenOS 14 Beta
The File Dock feature allows users to keep all their files in one place with better multitasking on their devices. For instance, when you want important text from a particular website through any browser, you can select and long-press it. A prompt will appear in the right-top corner and then you will see the option to “Save to File Dock”. With a simple drag-and-drop action, your text is stored in the File Dock.
This feature is particularly handy for saving various file types like notes and images, which were not available in previous OxygenOS 14 builds. Additionally, the File Dock is integrated with functions such as Read Aloud, Translate, and Quick Note, which work with a tap on the three dots next to the selected text. These options enable the device to read the selected content aloud and translate it along with saving the information directly into Quick Notes.
Recent Files Feature in OxygenOS 14 Beta
Another useful feature is Recent Files, which provides quick access to recently used documents and images. This ensures that all recent materials are easily accessible which makes it easier to manage and utilize content on your OnePlus device.
Users will find the File Dock extremely useful for everyday tasks and content management. It simplifies work by keeping all necessary files within easy reach and automating tasks that previously required multiple steps.
