Recently, YouTube has been making many changes to its mobile app. They have also introduced new UI for a fresh look with minimal changes. Now the company is adding new feature called Lock Screen while watching video.
The Lock Screen feature is now added to the latest app of YouTube. You can identify the app update by its version 18.42.36. The latest update is available on the Google Play Store so do it from Manage apps and device or simply search Youtube and tap on update. This feature only works in landscape mode or in full-screen mode.
How to Use Lock Screen Feature on YouTube App
To use this feature on your YouTube app, you need to simply play any video and tap on full screen or rotate your device to landscape mode. In the upper right corner, you will see a gear icon tap on it then tap on Lock Screen.
Upon success, it will show you Screen Locked and it will disappear.
How to Unlock Screen
To unlock your screen while watching video, simply tap anywhere on the vide and then it will show you “Tap to unlock” button. After that quickly tap on the button it you will show an “Unlocked” message.
