Nothing company released Nothing OS 2.5.5.a for Phone (2a) users. This update will bring up new features for better usage, better camera, and also improve the overall device performance.
This update can be identified by its build number Pacman-U2.5-240419-2235-IND and its update size is 135 MB. It will take almost 10 minutes for the installation. Nothing Phone (2a) already got the April 2024 Android security patch in the previous update.

Camera improvements are a major focus of this update. The main wide-angle camera now has optimized color consistency, thanks to adjustments in white balance and color bias, particularly at cooler temperatures. Improvements in portrait mode include better brightness in HDR situations and more accurate skin tone matching. Issues with noise in portrait mode have been addressed, and the camera app’s launch speed has been boosted by refining CPU scheduling strategies.
Additional enhancements include a more precise display of battery levels in the Battery widget, an improved power-saving mode that ensures vibrations for calls and notifications are unaffected, and a smarter auto-brightness adjustment using an AI-powered algorithm. The update also improves call stability, increases the smoothness of the Quick Settings expansion, improves fluidity when unlocking the device after being idle, and fixes an issue where callers could not be heard when connected to Android Auto.
