Nothing company recently released a video about “Nothing Community Update|Q3 2023” where they discussed many things that are going on in the company. They also discussed about next major Nothing OS 3.0 update.
Bruno Viegas, who leads software product design at the company, shared some exciting hints about what users can expect in the next big update. However, he didn’t give any exact dates or other details about it, but he discussed some important key features that are coming in the update.
This means the company is already working on the Nothing OS 3.0 update for its smartphones. We may see that update coming with Nothing Phone (3) which will be released in mid-2024, but there is no confirmation about the smartphone from the company yet.
Building More Personal Connections
Nothing OS 3.0 is being designed to help users connect better with the people they care about most. The focus is on making the phone’s interactions more meaningful in terms of usage. This means the upcoming new features will help users stay in touch with friends and family more without getting distracted by other things on their phones.
Improved Glyph Interface
The update will bring improvements to the Glyph interface, which is a unique feature of Nothing Phones. There will be new combinations of both hardware and software features.
This means that the Glyph interface will have more features for interacting with apps, as we have seen with Uber, Zomato, and the progress bar in Phone (2).
Consistent Look Across the Phone
Viegas also talked about making the look and feel of the phone more uniform in terms of the user interface. This means that everything you see on the phone, from the main screen to different apps, will have a similar design. This should make the phone easier and more pleasant to use because everything will look and work in a similar way.
As of now, the company is hardly working on the release of the stable Nothing OS 2.5 update for Phone (1) and Phone (2). Currently, Phone (1) recently got the closed beta update of Nothing OS 2.5, and Phone (2) is running on Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2. We may see both getting a stable Android 14 update in December or starting next year.
