How to Hide Apps in Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2)

The ability to hide apps is very important, as you don’t want some distracting apps to be on your home screen or in your app drawer all the time. Instead, there must be a hidden section where you can keep all these apps separate from other important apps. Nothing provides you the ability to hide apps with Nothing OS.

The ability to hide apps was added by Nothing OS 2.0.4 on Nothing Phone (1) and through Nothing launcher update to Phone (2). With the inclusion of hidden apps, you can hide apps from the home screen and app drawer and access them by swiping right in the App Drawer.

How to hide apps in Nothing OS

  1. Swipe up from the home screen to open the app drawer, then swipe right to access the hidden apps section.

2. Then tap on the Pen icon to add apps to the hidden section and then tap to select the app icon to hide them or tap on the hidden icon to remove them from the hidden section. Then go back to check out the hidden apps section from where you can access these apps and also remove/add apps from this section using the edit icon in the top right corner.

3. Hidden apps can always be accessed by swiping right in the app drawer and these app icons will not be visible on the home screen or in app drawer even if you search for them in the app drawer using the search bar.

Hidden apps is a very well thought out feature as it removes the distracting or unnecessary apps from your app drawer keeping them to a different section so that you can use them when you need to instead of distracting you from your main purpose of picking up your smartphone. You can also hide less frequently used apps to keep your app drawer clean and only necessary apps in it.
