YouTube Premium Prices Set to Increase Next Month

YouTube is increasing the price of its premium plans in select countries. This action comes after a recent move from the company against Ad blockers. YouTube has been blocking content for users with ad blockers, pushing them to switch to its ad-free Premium service.

Customers worldwide have started receiving emails informing them of the price hike. Starting November 1, the monthly fee for YouTube Premium will go up in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Chile, Germany, Poland, and Turkey. Both Premium and Music Premium tiers will see this increase.

The higher prices will affect new users immediately. However, existing subscribers will see the new rates on their bills after at least three more months. YouTube states the increase is a necessary step to keep improving the service and supporting the content creators and artists.

YouTube Premium on Phone

YouTube Premium gives users an ad-free experience. It also includes features such as audio-only and background playback and full-quality offline downloads. The Premium plan also offers a 1080p option with a higher bitrate for sharper visuals and less compression.
