YouTube Playables allows users to play arcade games within the app

Google had recently rolled out a major update for YouTube where they changed the design and UI of the app. The app was more interactive and had some cool features, such as “ambient mode” added. But the brand has not stopped yet, a new report emerged online claims that YouTube will soon have a feature allowing its users to play some fun games directly within the app.

YouTube Playables Feature

The YouTube app for everyone will soon have a new page termed “Playables.” The users will be able to access and play some really fun lightweight games within the app. Obviously, they are not going to add something like BGMI and Genshin Impact inside the app. This is just a voluntary addition.

When users enter Playables, they are presented with two tabs: Home and Browse. The Home tab shows a selection of popular titles as well as a list of recently played games. The Browse tab, on the other hand, has a larger selection of games, with around 37 currently available.

Playables main selling point is that all games can be played directly within the YouTube app or website, eliminating the need for downloads. This makes it extremely simple for users to jump right into a game. Playables is currently in beta testing and is only available to a select group of Premium subscribers. YouTube, on the other hand, plans to gradually expand access to Playables in the coming months.
