Two months ago, Nothing launched its sub-brand CMF by Nothing, which aimed at making great design more accessible while delivering an uncompromised user experience through a focus on core functions. They launched three products under the CMF by Nothing lineup – earbuds, smartwatch, and a GaN charger.
The smartwatch is named CMF Watch Pro and it was launched at $69 (INR 4,999). The watch has a 1.96″ AMOLED display with 600+ Nits of Brightness, a 58 FPS refresh rate, and an Always-on Display.
During the early days, the Watch didn’t have the option to set a custom watch face but could only choose from the dial gallery provided in the CMF Watch app.
But later, with an update, they added an option to set a custom watch dial for CMF Watch Pro with a custom background, clock style, color, and position.
Steps to Add Custom Watch Face
- Go to the CMF Watch app open the Device Section and click on the ‘More’ button in the dial Gallery tab.
2. Switch to the Mine section in Dial Gallery and then tap on the Custom Dial.
3. Now First Click on the plus(+) icon on the dial to add your Custom background, which you can choose from Your Gallery or Take a photo.
4. Then adjust the background according to the scale to fit according to your preference.
5. Now move to the style section to Set the clock style, position, and color.
6. You can choose from different clock styles (only digital clock styles are available as of now), different positions of the clock, and any color from the color palate.
7. At the end, click on Set as the current dial and Confirm ‘Yes’ to download the dial to set it as your current Watch Face.
8. Your Custom Watch face will be set as your current dial. As of now you can only make and use one custom dial at a time.
The option to have a custom watch face gives freedom of choice regarding the watch face, enabling users to set a watch face to match his/her persona and express it. However, the custom watch face on CMF Watch Pro has some limitations like no option to add any fitness statistics, weather data, analog clock, or create a multifunction watch face.
CMF by Nothing developers are working on providing more options to users to add various statistics and data on custom watch faces which they will push through an update in the future.
