Vivo X100 and X100 Pro Launched in China with Dimensity 9300 Chipset

Vivo has launched its much-awaited Vivo X100 series of smartphones in China. The series includes two devices, which are the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. Both devices have top-of-the-line specifications and amazing camera hardware and optimization. These smartphones are the successors of the existing X90 series and offer significant upgrades over their predecessors.

Vivo X100 and X100 Pro; Amazing Hardware!

There are very minimal differences among both the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro smartphones. Both devices offer a similar 6.78-inch 1.5K resolution Super AMOLED display with curved edges and up to 120Hz high refresh rate support. The display also supports a whopping peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. Coming down to the chipset, both devices are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 flagship chipset.

As for photography and videography, the device packs a triple rear camera setup with the same 50-megapixel primary sensor with the support of optical image stabilization and a 50-megapixel secondary ultrawide unit. As for the telephoto lens, the X100 has a 64-megapixel lens while the Pro has 50-megapixel telephoto. Both of these lenses support up to 3X optical zoom lens and up to 100X digital zoom.

For the selfies, there is a 32-megapixel selfie snapper housed inside the center-aligned punch hole cutout. Both devices use Vivo’s proprietary V3 imaging chipset which claims to deliver better and more reliable camera outputs. Not only this, the telephoto lens uses the ZEISS-certified Vario -APO-Sonar lens for better output.

The Vivo X100 packs a 5000mAh battery with faster 120W wired charging while the X100 Pro supports a larger 5400mAh battery but with a little slower 100W charging support. The Pro model also brings support for 50W of wireless charging. Both of them will boot up on Android 14-based OriginOS right out of the box. The devices are certified with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Pricing and Availability

The Vivo X100 comes in five different storage variants which are 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, 16GB+1TB, and 16GB+1TB (with LPDDR5T RAM). All the variants are priced at CNY 3,999 (~$550), CNY 4,299 ( ~$589), CNY 4,599 (~$630), CNY 4,999 (~$685) and CNY 5,099 (~$699) respectively.

On the contrary, the X100 Pro comes with the same set of configurations but carries the price tag of CNY 4,999 (~$700), CNY 5,299 (~$726), CNY 5,499 (~$800), and CNY 5,999 (~$822) respectively. Both devices would be made available in Star Trail Blue, Sunset Orange, White Moonlight, and Cheyne Black color options.
