The London startup ‘Nothing’ has sold two million devices. This number includes the earphones, and smartphones they have made for consumers. The company made headlines last year when it launched the first smartphone, “Nothing Phone (1).” The company was founded by Carl Pei and it managed to stand out in the market against big players like Apple and Samsung.
Nothing company was founded in October 2020 and since then it has been creating its name in the market along with its growth. The phones have a special feature that lights on the back to let you know about calls or messages without sound and it is called a Glyph Interface. The team behind this feature includes a top designer from Dyson, Adam Bates.
The company, which is not making a profit yet also raised a large sum of money from investors like Highland Europe and Google Ventures. ‘Nothing’ makes its phones in India but its main office is in London with a big team. Pei’s focus is not on the money or size of the company for now. He believes in making good products first.
Pei says ‘Nothing’ needs to sell a lot more to stay in the game. He plans to keep making phones and earphones but also has plans for new kinds of tech in the future. Pei thinks that devices like phones will change a lot in the next five to ten years and he wants ‘Nothing’ to lead this change with new ideas and artificial intelligence.

The design is good. But there is no gallery on the phone. That is big a problem. Also the internet speed is not good. Even on 5G network the speed is running very slow.need to improve this.
