A recent leak has added to the anticipation, revealing two AI-powered features that could set the S24 trio apart: Live Translate and Generative Edit.
The buzz started with a tweet from Arsene Lupin (@MysteryLupin), who shared an image that appears to be a retailer listing for the upcoming phones. The highlight of this leak is the introduction of Live Translate. This feature suggests that the S24 series will have on-device processing capabilities, allowing users to communicate in different languages in real-time, a significant step up in smartphone communication.
Another must-note feature is Generative Edit, Samsung’s rival to Google’s Magic Editor. To use this feature, users will need a Samsung account and an active internet connection, indicating that processing will likely be cloud-based.
The leaked image also mentioned three more features: Nightography Zoom, High Resolution, and Screen Display. While it’s unclear if these will incorporate AI technology, they are intriguing in their own right. High Resolution will enable users to take photos in the maximum resolution supported by the primary camera – 50MP on the S24 and S24+, and 200MP on the S24 Ultra. Nightography seems to be focused on enhanced nighttime photography, while Screen Display hints at a flatter screen for the S24 Ultra and bigger, brighter screens for the S24 and S24+ compared to their predecessors.
