Revamped Refresh Rate Control

The standout feature of the update is the introduction of a 120Hz refresh rate for every application. Previously, users had complains regarding certain apps like YouTube being restricted to 60Hz. This restriction has now been removed and users can set 90Hz or 120Hz for almost every application in particular. This change will improve the overall user experience and making it smoother. However, it’s essential to note that a higher refresh rate might lead to faster battery consumption.

Performance Updates and Benchmarking

Upon installing the latest OxygenOS 14, the software version shows Android 14 with security patch of October 5th, 2023. Benchmark results, although not drastically different, show some performance variations compared to the previous builds.
