The OnePlus company released the OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta program for the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T in India as of now. For this CBT program, the company will only select 200 users for the OnePlus 8T and 200 users for the OnePlus 9R.
How to Participate in OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta Testing Program
To take part in the OxygenOS 14 Closed beta testing program for OnePlus 9R and 8T you will need to go to Settings > About device > Tap on OxygenOS version Box > At the right upper corner tap on the three dots > Beta program. After submitting your application it will be reviewed by the company. Then, selected eligible users will receive the closed beta OTA in the upcoming days.
You have to be on these detectable versions before getting into the OxygenOS 14 CBT program:
- OnePlus 8T: KB2001_13.1.0.582(EX01)
- OnePlus 9R: LE2101_13.1.0.583(EX01)
However, it’s important to note that this beta version of OxygenOS 14 is not fully stable yet. Users may encounter compatibility issues with some applications not yet optimized for Android 14. Common problems reported include screen flashes, unresponsive screens, and potential data loss.
The OnePlus 9R and 8T have similar changelogs and known issues along with following the same update cycle.
Known issues in this beta update include the absence of online ringtones on the Contact page, screen flashing when accessing the Weather card in Shelf, and stuttering issues when the “Hide gesture guide bar” is activated without enabling transition animation.
Users who want to rollback to the previous stable version of OxygenOS can do so easily by this guide for 8T and 9R. This involves downloading the update package from the respective server page and installing it locally. OnePlus advises users to back up their device before proceeding with this installation.
