OnePlus has finally released the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 exclusively for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users in India. You will get to experience the new features and enhancements that OxygenOS 14 brings, and the update is based on Android 14. Remember, this is the initial open beta version, so some features might be added in later updates.

The OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 update for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro can be identified by its firmware versions and its size. We have mentioned the versions for both devices down below their size:

This update comes with the October 2023 Android security patch for both devices for system security. Currently, this open beta is only available in India. Users in other regions should stay tuned for updates.

Pre-requisites for Upgrading
Ensure your device is updated to OxygenOS 13.1, with at least 30% battery and 4 GB of free storage. Note that TMO/Verizon carrier versions aren’t compatible with the Open Beta builds.
How to Apply for OxygenOS 14 Open Beta
- Application Period: November 15 until the quota of 5000 users is reached.
- Eligibility: Confirm your phone is updated to the required OxygenOS 13.1 version.
- Application Process: Go to Settings > About device > Update > Beta program and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Version Reception: Applications will be reviewed within 5 workdays, and the update will be rolled out within the next 3 workdays to approved users.

Rolling Back to Android 13
If you wish to revert back to Android 13 the company has provided the proper rollback guide so follow it properly:
- Download the specific rollback package for the OnePlus 9 or 9 Pro.
- Back up your phone as this process will erase all data.
- Follow the rollback guide using the local OTA update method.
