It has been quite a long time since Samsung announced their One UI 6. All the eligible devices are getting the update right now. The brand had previously partnered with Snapchat which allows the app to use auxiliary lenses on Samsung flagships as well. Now, they are adding a new feature in partnership with Instagram which would allow their users to post pics directly from the lockscreen.
Samsung prepares to add Instagram photo shortcut to lock screen
According to SamLover, Samsung is preparing to add many new features and optimizations to the upcoming version of the One UI 6 and Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. One of the additions in the user interface is confirmed to be the new added support for posting pictures to Instagram directly from the lock screen.
According to reports, Samsung has agreed with Meta Company. The Instagram camera shortcut will be added to the lock screen of the Galaxy S24 series phones. Users can open Instagram directly to take pictures. This feature is not unique to the S24 series and will be available in the future. It is now accessible to current flagships such as the Galaxy S23 series via updates.
We are not sure exactly how this feature will work but it is surely going to be a great addition for Instagram lovers and influencers. Let’s wait to see when the brand will implement this feature on its flagship smartphones.
