One UI 6.1 Update Brings Back Burn-in Protection for OLED Screens

Samsung launched its One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI with the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024. Since the launch, Samsung has made available to 9 more flagship models. One UI 6.1 comes with many new features and enhancements that will provide an outstanding experience. The update reintroduces a key feature known as Screen burn-in protection essential for OLED screen devices.

In the previous version of One UI 6.0, the screen burn-in protection was missing, which was a leading concern for the users, but the new One UI 6.1 version has tackled the issue to the satisfaction of Galaxy device users.

This feature helps in preventing static images or icons from remaining visible even after the screen is closed. This feature has been confirmed only on the Galaxy S23 series so far, it’s expected that Samsung will maintain consistency across its devices.

On March 28, the One UI 6.1 update started to roll out for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy S23 FE. Samsung is now regularly working to extend this update to the Galaxy S22 series, Fold 4, and Flip 4 smartphones.
