Nothing Weather App Update Brings Improved Widget Display and New Unit for Wind Speed

Nothing has released a new update v2.0.5 for their weather app. The update brings an improved widget display when without location permission, new unit for wind speed, UI refinements, and some general bug fixes.

The update size is 1.7 MB, and the update is currently being released for beta testers and will be released to all users in the coming days.

What’s new with this update?

1. Improved widget display when without location permission: Nothing has improved the weather widget display when the location services are turned off now it shows the last record of the weather data of the last location (before turning off the location services) instead of showing no location on every widget.

This works with both Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and looks much better than just having no location mark on every widget when the location is turned off.

2. New unit option for wind speed (m/s): A new unit option has been added for the wind speed information. Earlier, there were two units for the wind speed – KM/H and MPH, but now a new m/s (meter/second) unit option has been added in the wind speed settings. Wind speed can be checked in the weather app by scrolling down the page, a widget shows wind speed along with its direction.

2. Then select the unit from the wind settings, and the new unit will be applied to the wind speed tile on the weather app home page.

The update also brings some UI refinements and smoother animations for a better user experience, and it also fixes some bugs for general experience improvements. Nothing keeps working on its own apps such as the weather app, and the Nothing X app to provide the best experience to users with core functionality and clean design.
