Nothing finally confirmed that the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta update based on Android 14 will be released for Phone (1) users before the end of 2023. They have also rolled out the stable version of Nothing OS 2.5 for Phone (2) users today.
A few days ago, Nothing released the Closed Beta Update for selected Phone (1) users which brought changes to the UI, new features, and various improvements to Phone (1). The closed beta update changelog and update file were leaked all over the Internet.
Recently, Nothing has also released a hotfix update for Phone (1) users running the closed beta update. The screenshots were leaked by some testers, which show that the update brings some improvements to the battery usage curve and excessive battery drain. The update also fixes some bugs related to network connectivity and security.
Now that Nothing has confirmed that Phone (1) will get the Open Beta update by the end of 2023, we can expect the stable update to be released by the first half of January 2024. The closed beta update is actively under development, and changes and improvements are made after the reviews from the selected users; thus we can expect the open beta update to be released by next weekend.
