Every year in June at WWDC (World Wide Developer Conference), Apple announced its new iOS version. This year i.e. 2024, Apple will introduce iOS 18. The iOS 18 is rumored to come with Generative AI features inspired by ChatGPT for Siri, RCS Support in the Message app, Shortcuts, Apple Music, Health, Spotlight, Pages, Keynote, Numbers, and more.
Tim Cook (CEO of Apple) has teased many times that the company is working on generative AI. The details of this will be shared later this year. Generative AI became famous in 2022 when OpenAI launched ChatGPT. Currently, the company is working on Sora AI, from which you can generate videos from text. This will be available for the public later this year.
iOS 18 Design Changes
Mark Gurman, a reporter from Bloomberg, mentioned in his February Edition newsletter that Apple was working to update its iOS design early this year. Until now, Gurman has not revealed which specific changes are planned for iOS. However, he mentioned that Apple’s senior management described iOS 18 as ambitious and compelling. A rumor also suggested that iOS 18 will feature some VisionOS-inspired design elements.
