The new gaming smartphone series could be launched either later this year or early next year which is set to provide a significant performance improvement.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip promises to elevate the gaming experience. Users can expect 30% jump in CPU performance and 25% increase in GPU performance which makes games run smoother and more realistic. Energy efficiency also gets a 20% boost, ensuring longer playtimes. Perhaps the most impressive is the 98% improvement in AI capabilities, signaling smarter and more intuitive gaming interactions.
Details about the ROG Phone 8 series launch date and full specifications are still unknown. As mentioned before, these phones might come the end of this year or next year and they will be launched first in China.
As per the recent report, the ROG Phone 8 series will be the base ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro and ROG Phone 8 Ultimate. These models are rumored to have different model numbers for global, Chinese, and Indian markets.

With a model number ASUS_AI2401_A, likely the ROG Phone 8, the phone showed impressive benchmark scores, including single-core score of 2213 and multi-core score of 7048. Additionally, the listing hinted at the phone featuring 16 GB of RAM and the latest Android 14 with ROG’s custom user interface.
