Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro Small Review
Digital Chat Station on Weibo revealed more details about the Xiaomi 14 series. Notably, the Thermal OS provides a significantly smoother user experience, primarily due to the fluid linear transition animations, new smart island and pop-up animations, and customizable lock screen interfaces. The series promises an enhanced “Internet of Everything” experience, indicating improved connectivity and integration with a range of devices.
Advanced Imaging Capabilities
The Xiaomi 14 camera performance exceeds expectations, featuring the JN1 ultra-wide-angle for the impressive night and telephoto macro shots. The 60mm native focal length, extendable to 75mm, ensures high-quality images. The main camera’s purity and dynamic range also receive praise. The Mi 14 Pro, with its 66mm JN1 native focal length, promises even better image quality. While its 10X zoom is notable, anything higher is deemed superfluous. The Pro model has an adjustable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, enhancing its capabilities in low-light conditions.
Enhanced Hardware Features
The Mi 14 series comes equipped with a USB 3.2 5Gbps interface, X-axis motor ESA0809B, improved build quality, and a short-focus fingerprint sensor. The Pro version steps up to 10Gbps. The top-end models of the series feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset combined with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The chipset’s overall energy consumption is efficient, with games like Genshin Impact running nearly at full frame and with greater stability. The performance of the Xiaomi 14 is described as fierce, earning it the nickname “little steel cannon.”
The Xiaomi 14 series is special because it mixes the latest technology in hardware and new software improvements. This makes it set new standards for how well smartphones perform and how good they are to use.
