Xiaomi company has launched its highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 series in China which includes the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. During a recent Qualcomm event, Xiaomi made headlines by announcing that these models would be the first to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Additionally, these devices bring the company’s new Android operating system HyperOS marking significant evolution from the previous MIUI interface.

Notably, the Thermal OS provides a significantly smoother user experience, primarily due to the fluid linear transition animations, new smart island and pop-up animations, and customizable lock screen interfaces. The series promises an enhanced “Internet of Everything” experience, indicating improved connectivity and integration with a range of devices.

Advanced Imaging Capabilities

The Xiaomi 14 camera performance exceeds expectations, featuring the JN1 ultra-wide-angle for the impressive night and telephoto macro shots. The 60mm native focal length, extendable to 75mm, ensures high-quality images. The main camera’s purity and dynamic range also receive praise. The Mi 14 Pro, with its 66mm JN1 native focal length, promises even better image quality. While its 10X zoom is notable, anything higher is deemed superfluous.
