WhatsApp will soon allow its users to access Meta AI directly via chatbot

We are entering the world of AI. Thousands of AI-based chatbots and tools have already been made live on the internet. ChatGPT, Bard AI, Meta AI, and Bing AI are among some of the famous AI-based chatbots out there. WhatsApp is now planning to add a new chatbot to their messaging app which would allow users to directly use Meta AI.

WhatsApp users can soon access Meta AI directly from the app

According to WABetalnfo, a recent addition can be found in the Chats tab, above the icon for starting new chats. This newly added button allows users to quickly launch AI-powered chats, streamlining the overall experience for greater convenience. The AI chatbot, powered by Meta AI, was first unveiled in September by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta (WhatsApp’s parent company). Zuckerberg confirmed that they are currently testing AI-powered chatbots for a select group of customers in the United States.

So in the recent WhatsApp beta released in September, the company included this cool AI chatbot. The catch was that it was hidden in the contact list, making it difficult to find and start chatting. But the new WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.23.24.26) simplifies things. They’ve included a convenient little button right on the home screen.

There’s a neat white square button with a snazzy multicolored ring around it in the bottom right corner, right above the ‘New Chat’ button. Click on it and there you have the access now! You have just started the Meta AI chatbot. Now given that these AI chatbots are still in the testing phase and are somewhat experimental, it’s not confirmed whether it will be available in a global version or not.
