Realme GT5 to Unleash 24GB RAM, UFS 4.0 Storage, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Realme China’s President, Xu Qi Chase, took to Weibo to shed light on the next generation Realme GT5. Powered by the robust Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the forthcoming device has caught the industry’s eye for its promises of performance unlike anything seen before.

Chase remarked that despite over 30 smartphone models featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, none have truly pushed the performance envelope. This bold statement is in connection with the Realme GT5, the anticipated device that has been at the center of rumors for employing the powerful 8 Gen 2 chip.

Insiders have now essentially confirmed these rumors, with noted leakster Digital Chat Station detailing that the phone will be paired with a remarkable 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Presently, the Red Magic 8S Pro+ is the sole smartphone with that RAM capacity, but it appears the Realme GT5 will join this exclusive club.

Storage will not be left behind either, as the Realme GT5 will be equipped with the latest UFS 4.0 technology.

The Realme GT5 is expected to come in two iterations. One variant will sport a 4,600mAh battery and an astonishing 240W fast charging feature, while a more subdued model will have a 5,000mAh battery with still-impressive 150W charging.

Officially christened the “GT5,” whispers of a GT5 Pro with a periscope zoom camera equipped with a 64MP OV64B sensor have been doing the rounds. Additional features are said to include a 50MP main IMX9-series sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a dazzling 6.74” 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate—similar to the existing GT3 model.

Though these specifications remain unofficial, Realme’s official teasers will likely begin to reveal such details as we approach the GT5’s highly anticipated launch later this month.

Stay tuned for more detailed insights as the launch date nears.
