Recently, OnePlus rolled out the stable OxygenOS 14 update for the OnePlus 11, which is based on Android 14. Along with the OnePlus 11, the OnePlus 10 Pro also received the stable OxygenOS 14 update.
We will analyze the screen-on-time (SOT) and battery life of the OnePlus 11 running stable OxygenOS 14. In our testing, we found that battery backup seems to be downgraded and the SOT is lower compared to the previous beta builds of OxygenOS 14.
But always remember that battery backup and SOT can never be the same for every individual. Battery backup depends on many factors, like ambient temperature, usage pattern, network strength, applications used, and more. The below screenshot is from a OnePlus 11 running OxygenOS 14. The device was used as the primary phone by a single individual.
We used the device in auto-brightness mode; 80% of the time wifi was used, and for 20% of the mobile data. The resolution was set to high (3216 x 1440), and the refresh rate was also set to high, which is 120 Hz.
The above screenshots are of the first cycle, where we got 3 hours and 16 minutes of screen time, and this is not a great SOT. With beta builds of OxygenOS 14, we used to get around 5+ hours of SOT. If you check out the battery usage, we just used normal applications where no hardcore testing or gaming was done the SOT was bad.
With the second cycle results being similar, we did not notice any improvements in screen on time, or SOT. We got 3 hours and 51 minutes of SOT with similar usage. After the second cycle, we kept track of battery backup in upcoming cycles but the story remained the same in our multiple tests. Our OnePlus 11 did not give us more than 4 hours and 30 minutes. We almost noted down five battery cycles.
What screen on time do you guys get on your OnePlus 11? Let us know below, and by the way, did you guys update your phone to OxygenOS 14?
