Instagram is trying out a new feature for its comments section. Soon, you might be able to create polls when you comment on a post or a reel.
Adam Mosseri from Instagram talked about this on his broadcast channel. He said Instagram is testing this feature with a few users right now.
Why is Instagram adding polls to comments?
It’s all about getting users talking and engaged. For content creators, it’s a new way to see what their followers think. They can ask questions and get answers fast. This might help posts get even more attention.
From what we saw in a preview, users will be able to see poll results easily. They can check which option gets the most votes. But we’re not sure yet how long these polls will stay up in the comments.
If you’ve used Instagram Stories, you must have seen that it has feature placing polls in it. But this is the first time Instagram is trying polls in comments. The company recently added a way to answer comments with GIFs. So it seems they want to make the comments section more fun and lively.
