Last week, Nothing company released the first open beta of Nothing OS 2.5 which is based on Android 14 for Nothing Phone (2). Many users have already installed the update on their device. The update brings lots of new features and improvements. But one of the features it offers, known as “Glass Filter” stands out among others.

The Glass Filter is an effect that makes several vertical line on the selected wallpaper which looks astonishing. Basically, it can be applied to any wallpaper or picture you take from the phone itself.

Previously, when the company launched its first smartphone, they initially gave some particular wallpapers, where we have seen this glass effect. Finally, the company made this effect available to everyone.

Currently, this feature is missing on the stable version of Nothing OS 2.0 based on Android 13. But now its available on Phone (2) running Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1. For sure, the company will give this glass filter effect to Phone (1) whenever it receives new update.

How to Apply Glass Filter Effect on Wallpapers

To apply this Glass filter effect on any wallpapers, first go to Home screen > Hold for second anywhere on the screen > Tap on Customisation > Choose your wallpaper or else tap on more wallpapers to get them from the gallery, and then it will show you wallpaper preview. At bottom side, you will see four options, and you have to tap on the third one “Glass Filter.” That’s it the glass filter is now applied and then tap on the fourth option to apply on Lock screen and Home screen.
