How to Update from Nothing OS 2.5 CBT to OBT2 on Nothing Phone (1)

Recently, Nothing has released the Nothing OS 2.5.1 Open Beta 2 Update for Phone (1) users with Open Beta 1 and Closed Beta 1 update. The update has been shared through the OTA for the OBT 1 and officially selected CBT 1 users. The CBT 1 update was leaked and many people sideloaded it using the files; thus now they have not been given the OTA update to Open Beta 2.

Steps to Update to OBT 2 from CBT update.

All the CBT users make sure that you are on Spacewar-U2.5-231206-153 Build ID and Closed Beta 1 update.

  1. Install the build Spacewar-U2.5-231212-1147, the file size is 42.4 MB, and this is a CBT Hotfix Update. If you are already on this build number, skip to step-3
  2. Install the build Spacewar-U2.5-231220-0836, the file size is 59.5 MB, and this is Open Beta 1 Update. If you are already on this build, skip to step-4.
  3. Install the build Spacewar-U2.5-240106-2238 , the file size is 47.8 MB, and this is Open Beta 2 Update.

How to Update using the build file

Method-1

  1. Go to the drive link for the build you need by tapping on the build no. mentioned above and download it.
  2. Go to settings> System > Update to Beta version.
  3. Tap on “Check for new version” and then on ‘Download Package’.
  4. Tap on ‘Confirm’ and your phone will restart and updated.
  5. Repeat the same process until you reach the latest Open Beta 2 update.

If you are facing any problem during the update check your build and update to the next build or try restarting your device and following the same steps again.

Method-2

  1. Go to the drive link for the build you need by tapping on the build no. mentioned above and download it.
  2. Go to Files > Internal Storage > Download > Build file

3. Tap on three dots in right of the build file and select move and then Move to ‘Internal Storage’.

4. Tap on ‘Add new Folder’ and create a new folder by name ‘ota’ and then tap on ‘move to folder’.

5. Open dialer app and dial *#*#682#*#*. You will be directed to NothingOfflineOtaUpdate page at the bottom you will get to see the update if not click on ‘Reload’ Next just tap on the ‘Directly apply OTA from select’ .

6. Click ‘OK’ in the Directly apply update from select dialog box During the process leave your phone aside and don’t do anything on it. After completion you will get a dialog box for Update OTA Success, Click on ‘Confirm’

7. Your device will reboot as soon you tap on ‘confirm’ and your device will be updated to the build version of the build file. Repeat the same process until you reach the latest Open Beta 2 update.
