Google Meet is a high-quality video-calling app designed to have meaningful and fun interactions with your friends, family, colleagues, and classmates. Meet lets you connect in various ways, like by calling someone spontaneously, scheduling a time for a meeting, or sending a video message. It seamlessly integrates with other Google Workspace apps like Gmail, Docs, Slides, and Calendars. It is currently available for Android and iOS phones, tablets, Google Nest, and the web.
Recently, the app got an update with some new features and capabilities. The update size was 30.51 MB and the update version is 218.0.582732413.duo.android_2031105.15_p3.
What’s new with this update?
With the latest update, you now have the ability to add up to 32 people to a group video call. Prior to this update, only eight people could be added to a Group video call. This provides you with the option to meet with all your friends or have meetings with colleagues, as now many more people can be added.
Also now you can join the group video calls through a link and also share that link through various apps. Earlier you could only add the person through the contacts saved on your account. Now as soon you create a group video call, a link appears at the bottom which can be shared with others to join the call.
With this update, you now get to share your screen with others in a group video call, mirror your screen, and also share the link to join while in the call.
Doodles, masks, and fun effects have also been added to Family Mode, which requires a Sign-in with a Google Account. The option to take photos of video calls is also added with this update.
This was a minor update with some new features being added to enhance the experience of high-quality video calling with more friends with ease of adding anyone to the meet through link. The update also brought some cool features like a share screen and fun effects in family mode.
