Two months ago, Krafton released the BGMI 2.7 update which brought 90 FPS option in ‘Graphics & Audio’ settings. But whenever we set the option and try to play the TDM or classic it was limited to 60 FPS. Anyhow, we found a way to get 90 FPS on our OnePlus 11. Here I will share my personal experience with 90 FPS on BGMI that how it works.
Firstly, I will clear that every Android smartphone will not support the 90 FPS. I have OnePlus 11 which is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Obviously, it will support 90 FPS but it was disabled in the previous update by OnePus or Krafton.
In BGMI 2.7 update, I enabled the Hyper Response Engine option from OnePlus Game Mode to get 90 FPS gameplay. To do it, simply open your game and swipe down from the upper right corner after that a small window will appear.
You will see several options but you need to scroll down a little bit and look for option called Touch optimisation then simply tap on it and enable Hyper Response Engine. This will enable 90 FPS gameplay for OnePlus 11. It will also work for OnePlus 11R as it comes with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
After this, I played many games and classics with 90 FPS where it worked fine until the OnePlus 11 device temperature reached 40-43 degree. As 90 FPS gameplay will make your phone device temperature high as it requires faster frame rate for smooth gameplay. To maintain the device temperature I got an table fan on which I controlled and maintained temperature around 36-38 degree. So I got smooth 90 FPS gameplay in the BGMI 2.7 update, except for hotdrops and a bunch of enemies present at a particular location.
BGMI 2.8 Update Solved 90 FPS Problem
In the second week of October 2023, Krafton released another update for its game which is BGMI 2.8. It brings many new features and improvements to the game. But we are talking here about 90 FPS. So in this update we don’t need to any setting to get 90 FPS gameplay like in previous above method for OnePlus 11.
To enable BGMI 90 FPS on any Android Smartphones:
- Open your game
- Tap on arrow button at down right corner
- Tap on Settings
- In Combat choose graphics as Smooth and Frame rate settings as “90 fps”
- Close the settings and try it out TDM or classic
As of now, the OnePlus 11 is getting 90 FPS in all modes without any problem. I don’t have any other device information, but I will make a list of smartphones that support 90 FPS gameplay in coming days.
