OnePlus has announced the release of the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 specifically for the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite users in India. However, this is an open beta version, some features are yet to be added in future updates.

The company has highlighted that beta versions may not be as stable as the official releases, and users installing the update may face certain risks. The known issues with the current build include frequent stops in the link to windows, system UI crashes, and black screen occurrences when tapping an open app in the Google Home interface.

The changelog mentions significant enhancements in security and privacy, performance optimization, and a new aquamorphic design. The company has also improved app launch speeds, system stability, and the smoothness of animations. The design upgrade introduces a soothing color palette and new system sounds in line with the aquamorphic theme.

OnePlus advises that devices need to be on the latest OxygenOS 13.1 to upgrade smoothly and reminds users to check for adequate battery and storage space before proceeding. The beta is not compatible with carrier-specific versions of the phone.

Make sure your phone has the right version for the update:

  • CPH2467_13.1.0.611(EX01)
  • CPH2467_13.1.0.610(EX01)
  • CPH2467_13.1.0.573(EX01)

Applications for the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 for Nord CE 3 Lite are open from November 7, limited to 5000 users. Instructions for applying are detailed in the ‘Beta program’ section under ‘About device’ in settings. Approved applicants will receive the beta update within three working days post-review.

For those who may wish to revert to the stable OxygenOS 13.1 (Android 13) version, OnePlus provides a rollback guide. It involves downloading a rollback package and following the local OTA update method, which will erase all phone data so you must take backup before doing this.
