A few days ago, the first cases for the iPhone 16 Pro were leaked showing a new Capture button on the side. Today it’s the turn of the non-Pro models. New case leaks for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have surfaced.
The leaks confirm a major design change for the camera setup on the upcoming iPhone 16 models. Unlike the previous arrangement where two sensors were placed diagonally in a squarish shape this year’s models will feature a vertical camera bump. The LED flash array will be positioned to the right of this bump.
The latest prototypes for the iPhone 16 models show two separate rings for the cameras on a pill-shaped surface. This design is reminiscent of the iPhone X. The redesign aims to support spatial video recording in the new models.
Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to include the Action Button from the iPhone 15 Pro. They will also have a pressure-sensitive Capture button similar to the one rumored for the iPhone 16 Pro.
As it’s still early in the iPhone design cycle changes could occur before the phones’ expected release in September. Keep this in mind as more information becomes available.
