Reliance Jio, a big telecom company is set to change the laptop market. They are bringing out a new cloud laptop for about Rs 15,000. This move marks a major step for Jio into the computer hardware field.
Jio Laptop with Cloud Features
The main feature of this laptop is the Jio Cloud. This innovative technology enables the laptop to perform many of its tasks using the internet. Through Jio Cloud, laptops can handle storage and some processing online, which leads to improved performance without the high cost. This makes advanced technology more accessible to those who can’t afford high-spec laptops.
For now, Jio is testing this technology on an HP Chromebook. The good thing is that this cloud technology can work on other devices too, so people can use it on desktops and smart TVs. That means you don’t need to buy new gadgets to enjoy Jio Cloud.
Jio is also planning a cloud subscription service every month with different services. This will be similar to Apple’s iCloud or Google One. The company will set the price later, and there will also be some expensive plans that will have more features.
This new laptop is part of Jio’s goal to make digital tools more affordable. Earlier in July, Jio launched JioBook (2023) at Rs 16,499. This device uses an octa-core MediaTek MT8788 processor and runs on JioOS, based on Android.
