Apple to Adjust App Store Rules in Response to EU DMA

After implementing a Type-C charging port instead of a Lightning charging port due to the European Union. Now, due to the EU’s Digital Markets Act, Apple is expected to make changes in the policies of Apple’s App Store. Apple has updated its risk aspects for the language in fiscal year 2023.

The EU’s DMA i.e. Digital Markets Act put into action in May, objectives to change the competition for Tech Giants by placing a series of responsibilities on selected gatekeepers. Changes in the upcoming days also affect how the company charges developers for approaching their platforms, as well as how they manage the distributed apps that are out of the App Store.

Form 10-K bushing suggests a great, definitive stance on possible changes to the App Store policies. This year, in July, Apple told the Commission that they expected to fall under DMA. Later on, it was officially confirmed in September, when the Commission titled six Tech Giants, that were designed as gatekeepers.

The deadline which is given to these gatekeepers by the EU’s DMA is 7 March 2024. So, as per the report given by techcrunch.com, we can expect the third-party App Store in the iPhones by next year. As with the Type-C port in the iPhone 15 Series globally, we can expect third-party App Stores in the iPhones in India as well.

What do you guys think, can we also get this party App Stores in Indian iPhone units as well? Do let us know in the comment box.
