How to Add Multiple Accounts on WhatsApp

  1. You need a second phone number. This could be from another SIM card or from a phone that uses multi-SIM or eSIM.
  2. Go to your WhatsApp settings.
  3. Tap the arrow next to your name.
  4. Choose “Add account”.
  5. Enter your second phone number. This lets you set up your second account.

Furthermore, you can set privacy and notifications differently for each account. Maybe you want to mute your personal account’s notifications but keep the work one active and same goes for the personal active and work goes mute. WhatsApp is also makes sure that messages in both accounts are still private thanks to end-to-end encryption.

This update is perfect for those who always had to carry two phones to manage their WhatsApp accounts. But a little word of caution from WhatsApp: always use the official app from the Google Play Store so always avoid any fake versions.

For iPhone users, there is confirmation about whether this feature is coming to the iOS.
