WhatsApp the most popular messaging company is always working on new features to improve their app on a daily basis. Now they have added new way to quickly lock your chats. After they added chat locking in May 2023, they’re now making it even easier with a shortcut.
WhatsApp Chat Lock Shortcut
This feature is currently available for some WhatsApp beta testers. You can identify the app version v2.23.22.4 to experience this feature on your device but you should be tester before doing so. It’s a shortcut to lock your chat quickly. This is good if you sometimes give your phone to a family member or friend. Soon, everyone will get this feature.
To use the new quick lock shortcut, open WhatsApp on your phone, select the chat you wish to hide, click on ‘Profile’, scroll down, and turn on the ‘Chat Lock’ option.
The Chat Lock feature helps keep your chats private. When you lock a chat, it moves to a different place on WhatsApp. You need your phone password or fingerprint to see it. Also, when you get new messages in this chat, they won’t show in notifications.
How to Enable WhatsApp Chat Lock
- Go to WhatsApp.
- Choose the chat you want to hide.
- Click ‘Profile’.
- Turn on ‘Chat Lock’.
- Use your fingerprint to lock it.
With this, WhatsApp is making sure chats are private and safe.
