WhatsApp users will now connect with people without disclosing each other’s numbers. They are likely to add a new search bar feature that will allow users to search for others with their usernames.
The feature has been in the testing process for over six months. The rollout of the feature may happen sooner. This feature may prove advantageous for individuals who are not comfortable sharing their numbers and those who prioritize their privacy along with having more control over their personal information.
WABetaInfo has discovered that the search button in WhatsApp version 2.23.25.19 allows searching for names, usernames, and numbers but it’s not functioning yet.
