Nothing, a UK-based Smartphone manufacturing company has recently revealed the Nothing Chats app, which they are going to launch in the US, Canada, UK, or EU for their Nothing Phone (2). This app was developed in partnership with Sunbird which allows Nothing Phone (2) users to message other iMessage users via blue bubbles.

The app will be made available in the US, Canada, UK, or EU in Google’s Play Store by this Friday. But if you wish to do this on your Android phone. Then, we have another way that you follow. But before that, you need to know about Sunbird.

Sunbird is a Messaging app from which you can chat any bubble such as Blue Bubble or Green Bubble. This app is available on Android as well as the web. You can send messages to WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, SMS/MMS, and iMessage. Future updates will also add message app types such as Telegram, Slack, Line, and Discord.

As said by Carl Pei (CEO of Nothing):

Those Green messaging bubbles feels like a barrier between you and other smartphone users. But At Nothing, we believe in windows, not walls. If messaging services are dividing phone users, then we want to break those barriers down.

As said by MKBHD in the video, Nothing has been confirmed that Apple ID which you Sign in will be signed into a Mac Mini on a server. As that Mac Mini is not owned by you. So, there will be privacy concerns. The process occurs in the Mac Mini. As mentioned in the privacy policy of Sunbird, your data will be End-to-End encrypted.

Note: But if you are very concerned about your privacy, then don’t try this. We (Team Techibee) are not recommending you use the Sunbird app by using the process that we mentioned in this article above.

Do keep in mind that the Nothing Chats app will only work on Nothing Phone (2). For now, Nothing has not confirmed whether they will introduce it in Nothing Phone (1) or not.
