Now, finally the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset has been launched officially. Don’t get confused by the naming scheme of the chipset. It has launched to sit below Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and not to succeed it.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Specifications: What Does It Have to Offer?
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is built upon the TSMC’s 4nm fabrication technology. It offers a 1+3+4 CPU package, where the former four CPUs are performance-oriented cores while the latter 4 CPUs are performance-oriented cores. The Kryo CPU is clocked at 2.63GHz servers as the primary performance core, while the same Kryo clocked at 2.4GHz serves as the secondary performance core.
The processor has four power-saving cores that run at a clock speed of 1.8GHz. Additionally, it supports displays with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz refresh rate or FHD+ resolution at 168Hz. The Qualcomm Spectra ISP is included in the chip, which can handle main camera modules with a resolution of up to 200MP and record 4K HDR video at 60Hz.
The chipset is paired with the Snapdragon X63 5G Modem-RF System, allowing for download speeds of up to 5 Gbps in the mmWave and sub-6 GHz bands. In terms of connectivity, it also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 standards.
