Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ will use Sony camera sensors

The Galaxy S22 and S22+ phones have an ISOCELL GN5 50 MP sensor, while the Galaxy S23 and S23+ came this year with a 50 MP GN3 sensor. The same 50MP might be reused in Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24+ devices. But for the Galaxy S25 and S25+ phones, we might see Sony’s camera sensor instead of Samsung’s camera sensor.

@Tech_Reve, a well-known tipster said that he doesn’t have the specific camera details yet since the S25 series launch is still more than a year away.

According to some rumors, Samsung is working on a new 200MP 1-inch ISOCELL sensor for its Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which will have 0.8µm pixels, in-sensor crop zoom, and dual-pixel autofocus. Rumors also suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is the Exynos 2500 chipset to feature a 10-core CPU fabbed on Samsung’s 3nm node.
