Samsung’s latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, are now eligible to experience the One UI 6 beta, based on Android 14. This update comes after the company had already rolled out the beta version to its S-series flagships.
Owners of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 keen on trying out the One UI 6 beta should dive into the Samsung Members app. A dedicated banner highlighting the beta program should be visible at the top. However, some users have pointed out that if the banner isn’t immediately noticeable, a simple uninstall and reinstall of the Samsung Members app might solve the issue.
Clicking on the aforementioned banner will lead users through a set of terms to agree upon. Once accepted, the first beta update will be dispatched over-the-air. It’s essential to note that the update package is quite substantial, with the Fold5’s update weighing in at 2.7GB. The Flip5 is expected to have a comparable update size.
In terms of build versions post-update, the Fold5 will be updated to F946BXXU1ZWJ2, and the Flip 5 will be updated to F731U1UEU1ZWJ2. Presently, the beta program for the Fold5 is confined to users in the US and India. It’s speculated that similar geographic restrictions might be in place for the Flip 5 as well.
