Samsung’s One UI 6.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S23 series might be coming to the end. Over the past two months, since the first beta update was launched there has been a noticeable improvement in the software speed, fluidity, and stability. With seven updates already released, Samsung has taken feedback seriously, resulting in substantial improvements in the recent beta releases.
Through an official forum post, as shared by @tarunvats33, Samsung shared the information on these changes. Among the tweaks, users will now find date and time details in the Quick Panel, offering improved visibility for icons and text. The size of app icons on both the home screen and the app drawer has been scaled down for a neater appearance.
One of the noticeable improvements made by the company is smoother animations while opening and closing apps. This makes the overall experience better and also feels faster.
Addressing feedback on the extended media player widget, Samsung rectified the glitch that failed to remember its state on the lock screen and notification area. The introduction of a new emoji design in One UI 6.0 faced critiques regarding its color and resolution. To fix this, the company has changed the emojis and provided richer colors and clearer details. Furthermore, the transparency of the back gesture icon has seen improvements.
The company also expressed their gratitude towards the beta testers for their workaround and for helping the beta team. Samsung admires all the users who helped refine the Android 14 based One UI 6.0 beta. With these series of improvements, it seems like the stable version of Android 14 for the Galaxy S23 series will be out very soon. Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra users can potentially look forward to its release soon.
