Sony’s latest gaming console, the PlayStation 5 Pro, launched in September, is finally rolling out globally. However, there are still some countries where it’s not available, with India being one of the most prominent on that list.
According to Sony, the reason for the restriction is related to wireless technology. The PS5 Pro uses the 6GHz wireless band under the IEEE 802.11be standard (Wi-Fi 7), which is not yet approved for use in India.
For those who can purchase it, the PlayStation 5 Pro is priced at $699.99. Sony is also offering a 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle, available for $999.99. This special edition includes a unique design inspired by the original PlayStation from 1994, with only 12,300 individually numbered units available worldwide.
