Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Users Get New Night Sight Timelapse Feature in Camera Update

Google has recently updated its Pixel camera app by adding a Night Sight Timelapse feature for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro users. This update is inspiring for those who enjoy capturing videos at night.

Night Sight Timelapse Feature

This new feature allows users to record longer videos in low-light conditions. For example, shooting a 5-minute video at 1080p resolution or a 20-minute video at 4K will result in a 10-second timelapse when using Night Sight mode.

It also brings customization with the Palm Timer. Users can now set it be Always on or active only for 3 or 10 seconds. In addition, there is a new toggle for Ultra HDR photos in the advanced settings that allows more control over the photo quality.

These features come with version 9.2 of the Pixel Camera app. If you haven’t automatically received the update, you can manually update the app via the Google Play Store. For those who can’t wait or face issues with the standard update process, you can sideload the Pixel Camera app from third-party sites.
