OxygenOS 16 has finally been officially announced by OnePlus, and fans can now mark their calendars for the big release. The company has confirmed that OxygenOS 16 will launch on October 16, 2025, introducing a range of new features, design improvements, and AI-driven enhancements that redefine the OnePlus user experience.
This new version of OxygenOS will debut with OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13S, before rolling out to other eligible models in phases. The update brings a cleaner interface, smoother animations, and a host of customization options that give users more control than ever.
One of the most awaited additions is the Full-Screen Always-On Display (AOD) — a feature many OnePlus fans have requested for years. OxygenOS 16 also introduces AI-powered personalization tools, allowing the system to generate text and themes automatically based on the user’s wallpaper. This feature aligns with OnePlus’ new branding theme, “Intelligently Yours,” emphasizing a smarter and more adaptive UI.
The lock screen and notification panel have also received a major redesign inspired by modern UI frameworks. Users can now add widgets directly to the lock screen, including calculator, call logs, and digital assistant shortcuts.
On the performance front, OxygenOS 16 integrates predictive back gestures throughout the entire system, ensuring smoother navigation. The AI search integration within the Settings menu allows users to find both device and web results seamlessly, saving time and enhancing productivity.

While most of the changes are confirmed, there are still uncertainties regarding the OnePlus stock dialer for older devices and the rumored Liquid Design interface. Nevertheless, OxygenOS 16 stands out as one of the most significant updates in recent years, promising an upgraded visual experience combined with smart performance.
