Oppo finally introduces its latest operating system “ColorOS 14” to the world. The global beta version of ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 is making its way to users in specific regions. The Oppo Find N2 Flip is set to receive the stable version around mid-November. ColorOS 14 comes packed with lots of improvements and new features.
The update begins with the Trinity Engine, designed to optimize phone performance. ROM Vitalization technology compresses app and file data, potentially saving up to 20GB of storage on an average phone. RAM vitalization replaces Android’s standard RAM management, aiming to improve the retention of background apps. The final touch, CPU Vitalization, ensures a balance between chipset performance and power consumption.
A standout feature is the Smart Charging system. It adopts an AI algorithm to adjust the charging current based on usage patterns to minimize battery degradation over a long period of time.
Privacy gets a boost with Picture Keeper, a new tool requiring additional permission to access selected photos and videos. Another interesting feature is Smart Image Matting, which allows users to effortlessly crop multiple people and animals from a photo or a video.
Smart Touch is a new utility that enhances user interaction. It enables easy selection and collection of text, images, and videos from various apps into the File Dock, a clipboard-like feature. Also, this content is synchronized across ColorOS devices.
Snapchat users will be happy about his as they can now quickly access Snapchat from a lockscreen shortcut and view updates, messages, and friend locations via a dedicated widget.
Oppo has revamped the look of the user interface as well. The Aqua Dynamic design brings bubbles, capsules, and panels for a minimalistic yet functional display. The Aquamorgraphic Colouring system adjusts the color scheme of the status bar and on-screen content to match the time of day.
An eco-friendly touch is the new Go Green style for the Always On Display, complete with dynamic Bitmoji stickers that change based on the user’s context.
