OnePlus has rolled out a new AI Eraser feature for several of its smartphone models including the OnePlus 11, 12, 12R, and Nord 3. Users can access this feature by updating their AI Service Engine to the latest version, which includes a 370MB Algorithm plugin.
To use the AI Eraser, go to the Photos app, select any photo, and tap on the AI Eraser option. You will see three more options: Smart Lasso, Paint Over, and Remove People. These tools allow you to remove unwanted parts or objects from your photos. The effectiveness of the removal process can vary; sometimes it works perfectly, while at other times, it may not achieve the desired results.
Additionally, there is a compare button that lets you view the original photo alongside the edited version for a direct comparison. Once satisfied with the edit, you can save the modified image to your gallery.
This feature is especially useful for clearing up any unwanted objects that might have unintentionally appeared in your photos. When using the AI Eraser, a note will appear stating, “Generated by OnePlus AI. For reference only,” indicating that the changes are made using OnePlus’s artificial intelligence technology.
