In a recent update, OnePlus rolled out the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 for its OnePlus 10 Pro bringing new changes and improvements. The update includes improved features and adjustments where the company is trying to refine user experiences.
Upon checking the software information of the OnePlus 10 Pro after updating, we saw the OxygenOS 14.0 beta with firmware version NE2211_14.0.0.82(EX01) with the October 2023 security patch. With an update size of 951 MB, this version maintains the same security patch from the previous open beta.
OnePlus 10 Pro Benchmark Tests After OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2
We have detailed a comparison of benchmark tests with Geekbench and CPU throttling test apps. In the earlier version, the single-core scored 1384, while the multicore scored 3756. In Beta 2, the single-core scored 1623, and a slight decrease in the multicore score of 3690. CPU throttling tests show a decrease in performance, with the maximum CPU throttled up to 65%, compared to the previous 78%.
The update also addressed minor issues, such as rectifying a music tile glitch in the quick settings tiles. Moreover, some UI modifications were observed, including bolder text for battery percentage and time, similar to changes we have seen in the OnePlus 11 OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 4 update.
Further UI alterations were detected, manifesting as lines between settings options, reminiscent of the iOS interface. Additionally, similar lines were observed upon long-pressing applications, enhancing visual consistency across the UI.
OnePlus 10 Pro 90 FPS Recording Support with OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2
Now you will get 90 FPS recording support with this new update. We tested this while playing BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) where we can play with 90 FPS support.
To enable the 90 FPS option, you have to go to the gaming dashboard, toggle the ‘Touch optimization’ setting, and enable the ‘Hyper response engine’. This configuration allowed users to achieve and record gameplay at 90 FPS seamlessly.
Furthermore, there are some features from OenPlus 11 OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 4 such as Dynamic Island and Extract content which are missing in OnePlus 10 Pro OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2. We hope that the company will bring these features in the next update.
