Nothing Phone (2a) Render Image Mistake Corrected by Leak Source

Last Monday, @OnLeaks shared what many thought was a sneak peek of the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a). However, it turns out the excitement was for naught. The image shared isn’t of the much-anticipated Nothing Phone (2a) but of a Nothing smartphone that was never released. This explains why the render appeared so authentic.

The confusion started when Evan Blass, better known as @evleaks, raised doubts about the image. He pointed out that it didn’t align with Nothing’s vision of “See the world through fresh eyes,” hinting at a redesign for the Nothing Phone (2a), particularly its camera setup.

The truth came to light when Steve, the person behind @OnLeaks, admitted that the render wasn’t genuine. So, for those eagerly waiting, the real Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to feature a design closer to the other render shared, not the one initially circulated last Monday.

So basically, the Nothing Phone (2a) will have glyph lights at the back with two cameras in a centered position. Let us wait for the official design of the smartphone which will revealed by the company itself. Also, there is a rumor that it may be launched after the MWC 2024 event.
